We’ve been offering practical care to horses, ponies and donkeys across Caithness and Sutherland since Donald S McGregor founded our practice in 1965.
In that time we’ve built close ties with horse owners throughout the region, offering a comprehensive ambulatory service to your stables.
We’re always here when you need us, with 24 hour emergency cover, 365 days a year.
We also offer our Equine Highland Health Plan, which bundles an annual visit, dental treatment and worm egg count monitoring with a range of discounts to help you budget by spreading the cost over 12 months.
Our services include:
Preventative health care including vaccinations for equine influenza and tetanus
Comprehensive first opinion dentistry including routine sedation as standard
Parasite management including in-house faecal worm egg count testing
Castration with field anaesthesia if required
Medical investigations with in-house blood testing and ultrasound scanning if required
Reproductive management with fertility scanning, pregnancy diagnosis and management of the mare and foal
Basic lameness investigations, with management of foot, limb and joint problems including nerve blocks and x-rays of the lower limb if required
Referral for more specialist diagnosis and treatment as required
